Well, there I was, headed downhill and turning right onto my street when a sudden hard thump thump came up under my feet.

Has happened before, but now is more pronounced.

What say you all, I am thinking lower control arm as the rubber donut thingie was looking cracked last time I was under there.

Or could it be motor mount on the driver side, possibly a tranny mount? Turbo side motor mount was done a year ago but the other side is condition unknown.

I have felt driveshaft thump before, this doesn't feel like the same thump.

Ideas are welcomed...

Sounds like tranny or engine mount. Both are easy to check for...

However it is an Audi so maybe it's a demon getting bounced around the engine bay?

I would suspect a bit of play at either end of the lower control arm.
