Timing belt roller

What is the timing belt roller ? Does one need to change it every time the you change the timing belt.

It is a roller that causes the belt to stay in contact with a larger part of the circumference of the other pullys. It doesn't really need to be replaced with the timing belt and water pump but as long as you are in there ...

It helps to have a puller to remove.
