Oh, and those Sea Anemone looking things are the magnets, and while it looks like a lot of metal, there were no big chunks...Tom

I'll let you know if this does anything to the clunk into reverse on mine. If ALL the lights are lit up, you are in Limp Mode. This grey car has one light not lit(think D), but I just assumed it was burned out. If your car has 75K of 20yo fluid, your pan most likely looks like this grey car w/ 120K of 20yo fluid...Tom

Well, I was sent the wrong filter, and haven't gotten the new one yet, but here's a pic of what was in the old one. Some of the sharp metal bits had penetrated thru the screen, so I'm glad I didn't just soak it in solvent/blow it out like I was planning on doing....Makes you wonder what's in yours....Tom

To be accurate, measure what was drain and put back in the same amount. Start the engine afterward and check the level on the dipstick. Do not over fill the trans.

If I measured what I drained out of the Grey car, and put that back in, I'd have only put in a 1/2 quart when I first got the car.....Ha......It's supposed to drain 4 quarts, which mine did as I had it filled and have a dipstick(not everyone has the dipstick), but after a week or so when I pulled the pan, another 4 quarts was in there, and since the full volume is 10.2, looks like I got most of it without flushing. I'd personally only refill the tranny w/ 3.5 quarts, or 1/2 way between high and low on the dipstick....I got my filter in, and was trying to get the exhaust put back on tonight to test drive it, but it started raining.....Tom

Well, it's official, while the filter did stop the clunk in reverse, and it shifts smooth....it still slips on the highway when it kicks down, so it's a gonner...Tom
