Anyone have a recommendation for a trunk mount CD changer for the original cassette deck? Is there a hookup for a remote changer, or do you have to go with the FM reciever type?

I doubt that you can get a changer to work any other way than the FM Modulator. If you want to replace your deck with a new one and get a changer, that is certainly an option. I bought a Blaupunkt for both the 5kq and CQ. CQ's harness was nearly identical to the Blaupunkt, and the deck I bought (for both cars) can control a Blaupunkt changer. The CQ's also came with a remote control (also works with a Blau. changer).

Got two of them actually. One's a Sony, ones a Clarion. Both had the control unit go out on them after 2-3 years of service, but both companies offer new control units for ~100bux. The Clarion is nice because it fits many places (6-disc). The Sony is definately a trunk mount since its a 10 disc. Clarion has a remote control as well, if that matters. So yes, my CQ has two remotes in it.
Easy install jobs for both, just take your time.
