The only "repairs" possible are replacement of the boots. The CVs are not available as replacement parts from Audi. Look at item "30" down the page--Not replaceable.

The images you posted from ETKA show the difference between 3.6 & 4.2 inner CV's.
Item 14A is a 4.2 axle...while item 30 is from a 3.6

& the trans off center is for all the cars...my 5sp's is the same..pass side axle is shorter.

from which model shaft is: one is from mine 4.2, and another one from 3.6.
Yes, ETKA pics shows gross difference on inner CV's, but (I point it again) on my photos You can see just a fractional difference.........
And I can't find, that was any difference ont the outer CV socket for 3.6 and 4.2;
the same for the inner - looks that for all automatics is the same CV.........
ohhhh, big mess :-(

for outer nr.25 on ETKA. Original part number from VAG 4A0498099 and from GKN 301957. Price 93 USD for one CV. The inner I leave the same, because I found, that knocking was from track control arm .

because I took original VAG4A0498099 number and ran it through wonderful russian site www.elcats.ru (very similar to ETKA, but just online with real prices). And it shows that the same CV's are for A100 till 1994, A6 till 1997 and S4 with S6 the same model.Tomorrow I will count all tooths and will measure what is possible to verify everything

I didn't know they interchanged w/ 100, A6 &amp; UrS cars. I thought it was V8 only. Interesting.
