Default V8 engine problem, video

Heres a video of how my car starts
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IGPOGmMFdgE

its a 91 v8 5 speed with a 4.2 out of a 93 in it
i just did the timing belt service, with water pump and tensioners

it takes 2 or 3 of those starts for it to get to idle normally
the it makes no power, when driving, and doesn't like to rev much

i got the vag 1527 tool, going to figure out how to read codes with it tonight

anyone have a similar problem or know whats wrong with mine?

TIA

First guess would be the fuel pressure regulator.

my 93 will start like that if i have done any fuel supply work, like swapping the filter or FPR. but then after it starts it runs fine unlie your car. the slow start seems like it needs to pull fuel into the system. FPR is my guess too, or fuel delivery problem of some sort.

yes it ran fine before
i made sure to put all the wires back to where they were supposed to be, i numbered all of them and took pictures to be sure.

i asked on another v8 forum, and they said it could be bad timing

Did you do a timing belt job? Did you used the cam locking tools (tool 3144)? There are no timing marks on the cam shafts, which is why you need the cam locking tool in order to set the timing.

Buy or rent the cam locking tool and set the crankshaft to TDC. Remove both distributors at the back of the cam and insert the tools and bolt the tool down. They should slide into place without any problems if the timing is correct. If you can not slide and bolt the tool down then the timing is off. If this is the case remove the timing belt covers and loosen but do not remove the bolts holding the camshaft sprocket, this will allow the cam sprocket to free wheel. Remove the cam covers and there is a place where you can place a wrench. Turn the camshaft until the cam locking tool can be installed. Now do the same for the other side. Torque down the camshaft sprocket bolts. Remove the cam locking tool. Now turn the crankshaft four times to verify that the piston is not hitting the valves. Reinstall the distributors and cam covers. Start your engine and you're done.
