Which version of CIS would I find in my 87 5KCS TQ?

I'm so confused.
The Bentley manual says the MC1 had CIS/K-jetronic.
Audiworld's model guide says this car has CIS-E/KE-jetronic.
The wikipedia article on Jetronic makes me think that it has CIS-E III/KE3-jetronic as the MC1 has a knock sensor if I'm not mistaken, and the article cites the addition of knock sensing as the difference between CIS-E and CIS-E III.
So, which is it? If the answer isn't that simple, how can I tell?

did not have warm up regulators (DPR instead). However the MC does have a knock box so it's a weird setup from what I've seen on other cars.

The Bentley is right, it is the factory authorized manual. The 1987 Audi 5000 CS turbo/Quattro uses a CIS K-Jetronic: Black fuel distributor-internal pressure regulator with warm-up regulator and frequency valve, whereas non-turbo cars (except 1984) used KE-Jetronic: Silver fuel distributor-external pressure regulator, without warm-up regulator. The KE is a leaned out K system, that's why it didn't work on the turbo application.
