Wish me luck. I'm taking her in to get this hitting sound fixed. I figure worse case senario, it will need a control arm with ball joint. They list for almost $500.00 but most places sell them for under $100.00 which is where I told my mechanic we need to be at. He's a good guy and seems straight so I don't think he'll have a problem. I love this car but I'm not spending a nickel for one control arm. I know shops don't like you to source your own parts but no sain person would pay that that much for control arms when you can get them all day long for under a buck. Am I wrong on this? I'm already getting defensive and I haven't even brought it in yet. LOL. I don't have the means or time to do suspension work otherwise I'd do it myself. I will say this car the past few months has really beat me up, but she is almost 20 yrs and at this point it's too nice not to fix.
