Here is my trusty WGFV. Somebody questioned my vac hose layout, here it is. When Frank was here to help me sort out the car, we fiddled with the vac hose layout for a bit. I just took this picture and had my Bentley handy, and have some questions.
The hose on the right goes to the wastegate.
The hose on the left (top), goes to the turbo elbow inlet.
The bottom hose goes to the little connection at the throttle body (kinda underneath).
The bottom hose is my concern. Bentley says it should just plum into the back of the intake manifold. Is it OK or NOT OK to have it plummed where I do now? The Bentley's diagram states that the hose from by the throttle body goes to the charcoal canister shut off valve. Im not running a charcoal canister since I did the swap.
What to do? Route the bottom WGFV hose to the back of the IM and plug up or reroute the hose by the throttle?
Advice please

connected to the TB is the normal way, I think. Or you can do it the other way by plugging the TB outlet and then connecting it to the back of the IM, it doesn't matter which way you do it.

I'm assuming the nipple near the throttle body is still a part of the manifold?
I could not understand from your message what you did with the carbon canister delete? where is that extra hose (nipple) going to? Basically the carbon canister and the hose from the WGFV should both plug into the intake manifold in some form or another... if you have an open port (as I imagine you would from the carbon canister delete) you obviously need to plug that up - use my mehod - small piece of hose, a stubby phillips screw driver, and a hose clamp... its the classy way to go, trust me.
Also, one more thing I noticed - I'd make sure to put some hose clamps on all of your connections just so you don't go popping off a hose - and that braided hose is looking kind of old and may be a candidate for leakage and therefore replacing.
Wherever on the IM the wgfv gets its plug from it doesn't care - the IM plugs are all going to be the same pressure.

IIRC, when I was setting up my bpv, it was strongly suggested I take manifold pressure from one of the ports off the rear of the IM and NOT in the front of the IM. I wish I remembered why, and this may not be totally relevant, but it couldn't hurt to re-route the WGFV line and try it out.

My hose was a bit soggy where it connected underneath the throttlebody.. maybe keep an eye open for that. I cut mine down a bit and the boost went up .2 bar ![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
now that I've got a 1.8bar spring it doesnt really matter i guess.
