What grease fitting is on the 5000 quattro's driveshaft U-joint?
It looks similar to a Zerk fitting, but my grease gun doesn't fit.

I just checked and its a std 90 degree fitting...
it took over 5 pumps to fill up, if you still cannot fill, try any of these:
1. turn the fitting so the grease gun goes in straight
2. if goes on fitting but leaks, then its the fitting (ball frozen), then replace if you can
3. the gun should "snap in" on to the fitting. Try using a drill bit to push ball in (its spring loaded)BTW: Never tried this
4. try using a needle / injector fitting
5. If replacing a 90 degreer and it wont turn all the way around, use a small metric socket (its lockTited in) to remove the pointed end. Goodluck!

Yup, standard zerk fitting...
The F*&King idiot that put my driveshaft togther lined mine up perfectly with a joint, and I can't free the zerk to spin it around to a accesable position. Pretty sweet.
Guess I'll just wait till the driveshaft blows apart at 80 mph.
