Default Not much. I would think 15-20hp at the most if you were upgrading...

...the exhaust manifold, straight pipe, removing cat and resinator and increasing the diameter of the pipe itself. The more hp and torque you want the more stuff you need to change or upgrade. But you might feel a little gain in throttle response.

the pipe is remaining but the middle mufflers are leaving and the rear muffler is also leaving.

Default Re: 15-20 seems a little enthusiastic.

Without dyno results it's hard to tell. I think your going to have to judge this on the seat-o-the-pants-meter.

Default Now both of you guys are confusing me, I'll use my car as an example...

...My 83 Urq has had the cat and resinator removed. In it's place from the EM to the stock Urq muffler is a three inch pipe. It may have given my car a 20hp boost (I might be high but not by much). That's what i meant. To gain hps from messing with the exhaust you would have to upgrade the whole thing from block to bumper and that may get you 30hps tops maybe more depending on how exotic your set up is. Real ponies are made from massive upgrades under the hood.
