I have an annoying oil eak between head and block near front of engine. There is no coolant leaks or loss. Has anybody experienced maybe a loose or broken head bolt or slightly warped head and would this slight but eventually messy leak be a symptom of something like this?
Car is '87 5000CSTQ Avant with 195000 mi. Idles ok, runs fine, plenty power. Low boost(1.1) and some lifter tick.
Ideas?

I've seen a couple of 5 cylinders(4cyl too) weep some oil at the seam between the head and bottom end.

In fact my brothers car and my 80 both do this. Neither is losing coolant/oil or blowing combustion gases in the coolant.

I wouldn't be too worried until unless you are losing oil/coolant.

You could recheck the headbolts if you want.

I can't remember, but is there an oil gallery towards the front of the head and block that if the head were loose or warped, could seep in that area? It's leaking toward the lower corner from the slant angle and migrates down on the alternator.
