Default Where to buy .... ?

I need to buy some good quality relays so i can rewire my Euro headlights.
Does anyone know of a good online place/store or other source where i can order these relays? I don't want to buy some generic, low quality relays from a local auto parts chain store.

Thanks!

Default I also looked around . . .

. . .and settled on Stern's package as best value for money. It has everything that you'll need, in good quality. Note that his DPST relays feature one contact set "input" pin and two "output" pins (one for each headlamp).

I had no trouble finding SPST relays, and sockets, and fuseholders, but not of that quality. Maybe you'll do better than I.

Happy hunting.<ul><li><a href="http://vrx.net/dsl/RelayKit.jpg">http://vrx.net/dsl/RelayKit.jpg</a</li></ul>

Default (Yet more) headlight relay info

Here's excellent Audi-specific headlight relay schematic and wiring instructions:
http://www.humanspeakers.com/audi/headlight-simple.htm

I think that he also sells a headlight relay harness.

Here's car headlight upgrade info for British car owners; there's good stuff that applies to Audis:

I was interested to read that, like me, he doesn't entirely trust PepBoys type crimp connectors.

Below is a reputable vendor of generic headlight relay harnesses:<ul><li><a href="http://www.painlesswiring.com/relayheadlight.htm">http://www.painlesswiring.com/relayheadlight.htm</a</li></ul>

Default Re:

The only reason i decided to look around for other relay sources is the fact that it is very difficult to actually order the relays from D. Stern. I left numerous messages and sent some e-mails but every time i call with my credit card ready, he is not there to take my order. But i'll try again. ... Also, since i already have some of the parts, like sockets, fuses and etc, i basically need some good quality relays and i'm ready to go.

Thanks to you and your help (and Daniel's site), i do know how to do the wiring around the car, so that is not an issue anymore.

Default That's odd: I had similar trouble ordering

I thought that it was because of an ancient browser that I was using.

His kit is good stuff. Neither I nor my mechanic friends had ever seen the Hella H4 bulb sockets that Dan supplied, nor had I seen the relays with two poles. The rest of the kit's contents can be found elsewhere.

Did you leave a voice/email msg with your phone number/email address for him to reply? As I recall, he replied promptly once it was evident that I was gonna buy. Happily, he's been responsive to my email queries since. (I asked him something recently regarding supply of 70 Amp monster relay terminals.)
