Default where do you pour the stop leak?

My car dosesn't have a radiator cap, the only place I see is over run plastic reservior. Will this stop the heater core from leaking or will actually prevent it from working.

Default not real crazy about stop leak...........

it can plug up your heater core, so your heater won't put out much hot air. Suggest Alumiseal, instead. Just don't use too much of it or anything else.

however, a further thought, if your heater core is leaking, and you smell antifreeze inside the car, what do you have to loose. Plugging up the heater core is not a major concern if your heater core is leaking. Replacing the heater core is a major project, and expensive labor cost to have it done.

Default 'Into the garbage' is exactly right.

Next thing you know, youll be replacing the radiator and waterpump due to poor flow from use of that crap. Ive seen it happen numerous times. Sure itll stop the leak... but not worth the headache.

Default I strongly 2nd that...

The PO of my car was apparently a fan of it. Probably right before he sold it. I ended up replacing the heater core and just about the entire rest of the cooling system within the year. Stuff sucks if you ask me...

My $0.02.

Default Thats happened to me before as well! Damn PO's.. :)

I bought an S10 pickup for cheap.. then I found out why. A couple days later it started to overheat and leak... yeah I ended up replacing everything after I tried flushing the system twice. I sold the piece, fearing what else he did. :/
