Whistling/chirping noise while heat is on
Getting a whistling, of fast chirping noise after my heater has been on for 30 minutes or so. Car is a 1990 100 automatic. Hoping it's not the first sign of a heater fan motor starting to go. Heat will not change, still blows hot air. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance. Oh, and it was raining today when it happened. Not that it might matter, but it seems that most of my problems with this car have been water related.

Methinks that's exactly what you fear.
The motor in my 5ktq did the exact same thing when it was going south. My 4k did that for years and the motor never went bad. Good luck with it.

probably a bearing going bad in the blower motor..........
my old VW has that problem, been chirping like a tweety bird for a couple of years now. Still works fine, but the chirpy noise gets on your nerves after a while.
