who here has re-soldered their instrument cluster to fix the speedo jumping problem?
'89 100q speedo doesn't work. also, the center display (trip computer etc) doesn't work, the screen just flashes or beeps and drives me crazy. what i'm asking is, if anyone did the speedo fix (i saw the instructions on blaufergnugen)- did it or do you think it will fix my display problem or am i dreaming?

It worked for my last car on the speedo fix (1991 200), should be the same for you...
not too bad, really, just yank out the cluster, look for the broken joints, resolder... doesn't hurt to resolder a bunch of other junk in there while you are at it.
