Why does my fan run when I turn the key on?

Why does my fan run when I turn the key on?
I hooked the fan up and now whenever I turn the key on it starts and runs all the time. Should it do this? I'm pretty sure I have it hooked up correctly. Is there a relay or sensor that is failing? Perhaps I have hooked up my coolant temp sensor wrong? I honestly have no idea.

Two possible reasons IME
One is a switch failure on the A/C condensor that causes the second stage to run full time with the key. The other is the thermo switch on the radiator.

Well, me being the bonehead that I am, I just shut off the Auto feature in the climate control and what-do-you-know! The fan shut off.
