Default Winter is coming... (CSV question)

Hi guys, my 88 5KTQ used to start first shot in -40, unplugged (not that i did that intentionally, but there was times when i forgot).

Last winter, it had a hard time starting in -40, so I'm thinking there may be a problem with the CSV. Does anyone know which sensor the ECU reads off, when it decides to fire the CSV? I replaced the 1pin one, but perhaps it runs off the MFTS..?

I'll put an LED across the CSV and see if it is infact being trigged.. if i can't get it going, maybe i'll just throw a "prime" switch on it this winter, until i've got time to rig a proper controller...

thanks!

Default Re: Winter is coming... (CSV question)

Try runing the ECU test and see if the CSV will cycle on and off.

Go to the following link to learn how to perform the test<ul><li><a href="http://www.sjmautotechnik.com/trouble_shooting/nostart.html#coldst">cold start valve test</a></li></ul>
