While my TQ's head, turbo, etc is out of the car, I'm inventorying the fasteners that I need to replace. I'll replace most of the exhaust side fasteners EXCEPT for those gorgeous turbocharger studs and nuts. They look brand-new, despite the fact that they've spent much of their 16 years glowing a dull red.
What sort of metal are they made of? Scott Mockry told me that the nuts cost about $8.00 each -- is that correct?

Titanium is the second most common metal after iron. Chevrolet uses it for exhaust pipes on the Corvette. A friend was going to drop $2900.00 for a titanium watch until I told him about the exhaust pipes.
