wrong fluid in power steering what should I do.

I flushed the system according to SJM then had weird difficult to turn wheel problems , just kinda.... more difficult to turn steering wheel for a couple of weeks , then one saturday morn. brake light comes on WTF ...seal blew got new pump from shokan , blew right away same as yours, geyser right in my face, f@%&ck. replaced O-ring with non factory and started car 1 2 3 4 5 geyser city double f@##$$ck!! some kinda blockage between damper line from pump to bottom of reservoir . replace all parts in between problem solved . NICE AVANT KEEP IN TOUCH.

Default Sounds like the flush may have done something?

My steering and braking are excellent, and the geyser has taken long enough that I think it's the O-ring slowly breaking down. Did you use the specified O-ring or something that looked right like I did? It's possible the fit wasn't quite right for both of us. I worked maintenance in a factory for many years before getting my engineering degree, hydraulics can be fussy like that. A plug with an O-ring doesn't usually blow even at extremely high pressures. My new O-ring will be the proper metric size and a material appropriate for heat and hydraulic fluid.

I'll be around, I'm not as active on this board as I was years ago: two jobs, three kids, four cars.... I'm just a few miles from Jim Bush, always craning my neck to see what's in his driveway as I pass.
