Default Is $3000 a lot to pay for the 20VT engine swap??

I have the 20VT engine and the Coupe. Then, there is this guy, old Audi mechanic, knowing Coupes, 200 and all other old Audis very well. It may cost me a $3000 and I'm not sure if this is a lot or not...

Thanks

for someone else to do all the work...depends what he's planning on using... seems decent though

Considering what 2Bennet charges, seems good.

Default Seems fair.

Considering the amount of work it takes and time, energy...I didnt go that route but I also didnt have that kind of money to pay someone else to do it.

I think paying anyone is a lot to pay. DIY and learn from the experience.

Default You make sure you get that in writing though....

I've had way too many times in the past mechanics/body shops increase their bill at the end....once he realizes how much work it takes(unless he's done it already) he will change his mind about that number, for sure. Who is it Roman?

A lot? No, it is dirt cheap. I seriously doubt that he knows what he would be getting into.

Default Sounds good for labor, but

I'm sure you're going to be springing for more parts. Clutch, seals, TB, motor mounts, exhaust, intercooler setup, etc. Ask him about that stuff.
