A few days ago someone (I think it was T Jackson) posted a great idea. Zip tie a modified house air filter to the cabin airduct screen instead of having to buy the OEM pollen filter setup.
Well, I did just that and it's great. It's fine in the rain. And my allergies have not been acting up the last few days since I put it in the car! I thought the airflow inside the car would be restricted, but it seems absolutely normal.

90s don't have much for fresh air filters to begin with. if you take off the plastic cover between the engine compartment and windshield, you should see the intake.
