Anybody here made their 80 a turbo quattro? I'm wondering how easy it would be to switch the stock engine (and fuel system and all that jazz) for an engine from an old 5000 Turbo that anyone could pick up for cheap. Who knows?

This guy got rid of the CIS and built his own electronic fuel injection system. It is fairly simple if you keep the CIS, but you are limited by it in tuning potential. That is the main reason I chose to go 20v Turbo. Be sure to check out the links on his page for more info.

all i have to say about the 3B/AAN sound....AWWWW YEAH
the sound of the eS2 pulling away from the parking lot at the QCUSA gathering before the MidOhio track event a couple years ago was AWESOME. better than any 10vt i've heard (except maybe some of the rally cars like sprongl's Lehman built 10vt).
here's another typ89 10vtq site....<ul><li><a href="http://www.newtsplace.com/90tq/">Nate's 90tq</a></li></ul>

We just sent out a 90 quattro that came in to our garage that had that turbo conversion done. it pretty cool but you need to change alot of the hoses and the battery has to be relocated in the trunk. the toughest part is changing the ecu and harness over its kind of tough pulling the old harness through the car and putting the turbo harness back in. if you have any other questions let me know, i know this is only a general description.
