I thank you for your explaination. I did not have my mind made up, I like to know the reasoning behind things. It is very important to me. I also have in my possession the 205/65/15 tires, I mentioned it at least twice, which you might have missed and makes me seem like I have my mind made up. But if they are no good for my car I will not put them on. As you have explained to me they are not, so they will not go on. Understand?
Also my speedometer is fast, so a larger tire will make it more accurate, if it is the rear tires that measure speed, which it isn't. But you would already know that I'm putting them on the back and that I already have the tires if you read my previous posts.

...sized tires all around...
You wanted to know what the proper sized tires for your car are, I told you. If you want to run too big of a tire, fine, but it's not the right size tire for your car.
Call/ask tirerack, discount tire, etc. See what their thoughts are. Also running too big of a tire for the car can cause things to rub. Did you think of that?
You could *sell* the two tires in your posession and put the money towards the right sized tires for your car.
Audi recommends keeping tires the same size/brand/model all the way around on their cars. Regardless of FWD or quattro.

>No, I don't want to do that.

>No, tire would be 6 mm closer to the fender.

>Probably not, one has 90% tread left, one has 50% tread left.

>The size I can do, the brand - well I don't think that will ever happen
