Default 1990 80q headlight switch

i have heard that this is quite common. a couple of weeks ago i discovered that my headlights refused to work. the brights work fine but the low beams have just decided to quit on me. at first i thought it was a relay so i bought a factory manual to see if i could figure out the wiring..yea right.. so i took it in to the only mechanic in town that would even look at the car. he told me that i needed to replace the console switch. is this the truth? do i need to spend $250 for parts and labor? if this is common should i trust salvage yard parts? someone please help me out!

Default Ouch! Definitely junkyard!

Try 20 dollars, a local yard and 20 minutes of your time. It's the easiest switch to change.....ever.

Default I've determined it's common to find 7A fuel injectors in your garage for me

Hopefully this will happen to you now
