Default 1990 Audi 90 20v Quattro - MAF

Ok so my car has been running pretty rough lately - Loss of power, hesitation during acceleration, and rough idle. I went to 20v.org and learned how to pull the engine codes off of my car with a 12v led test light. The code that came back was for the Air mass sensor. I took apart maf sensor and sprayed it down with maf cleaner and installed it back into the car. I felt a little improvment but not much. I disconnected the battery and cleared the code from my car then with ONLY turning the accesories on i ran the test again.. same code. Does this mean its an electrical connection problem? Im not sure how to figure out if the connector is bad or not. Thanks for any suggestions and past experiences. s

Peel back the rubber boot on the plug for the maf and check for broken wires. Also while the boot is pulled back plug it into the maf and look to see if all the pins are making good contact. And lastly make sure the connector terminals are clean.
