My 1997 Cabrio is throwing the following codes:

P0170 Fuel Trim Malfunction (Bank 1)
P0173 Fuel Trim Malfunction (Bank 2)
P0174 System Too Lean (Bank 1)

I'm not really sure what these could be. I was told that they might be caused by the EGR valve needing clean, but I'm not sure if that's what it is. Any help would be great.

This is a newer car than mine (OBD I), so I'm not really familiar with these codes. Yes it may be the EGR System, but it may also be a vacuum leak which is common on the 12V engine. This write may be helpful:
