simultaneously yet not my exterior rearview mirror controls I had a pretty idea it was a relay issue. Bentley confirmed they're on the same circuit. Either all worked or all didnt simultaneously. Given this I knew of only one component that could affect all in such a manner.
Had one window not worked or worked erratically or the sunroof only stopped working I would've been forced to do some measure of chasing/diagnosing of the switches/leads before just cavalierly buying a window/sunroof relay. In this case, my failure was a "polite" one with manners, that was kind enough to provide me the answer, ie; just could not have been anything but the relay. Or it could have been 5 separate and independent switch failures simultaneously. Way too much of a long-shot!

trace the source back, since it only affect's one window it's could easily be the motor and/or switch with an intermittent issue.
