2.0w bulb is too much, is 1.1w enough?

2.0w bulb is too much, is 1.1w enough?
I have looked onlineand can only find 1.1w and 2.0w bulbs for the instrument cluster. I don't really want to order from a dealer beacuse they will probably charge me $4 a bulb. I have been told that I run a risk of melting the plastic if I have all 2.0w bulbs. If I change out all bulbs to 1.1w will it be bright enough?
