Drive shaft was a piece of cake. Nailed the length perfectly. Dont have to loosen or drop tranny/FD to install and can be swapped end-to-end. Goes in/out just by pushing CV's inwards towards each other then they pull back out when bolts tighten them to transmission/final drive flanges. Have full linear fore/aft range of CV movement when installed.

Yellow interrupted line is where the stock strap goes that will now do double duty as a drive shaft safety strap to keep it from hitting the ground if one end where to come aprt or let go. Who knows, perhaps that was even its purpose before but I always thought it a chassis stiffening strap.

Still havent refilled with coolant as I'm holding out for the G12+. WorldPac doesnt have it in their system yet so may have to grease-up, back into the dealer on Monday for a gallon.

Default Will this setup

lower oil temperature or just provide a more efficient system for the oil to cool through, or both. I realize you have yet to test it, but what expectations do you have?

Thanks,

Default what about making an aluminum skid plate

keep the shaft up and safe, reduce aerodynamic drag and looks cool.

Default I never bottom out the floor pan and driveshaft bottom is 2" up inside tunnel...

My front Vogtlands are the only item I've ever bottomed out with this car. And I'm a road racer, not a ralley driver so I dont tear up my floor pan. I havent bottomed out the pan in over 1 year of ownership even being 1.5" lower than stock ride height. You can see in pic there's no scratches or scrapes anywhere near the drive shaft on either side of the tunnel. But I have my eyes on a a 60" x 216" sheet of carbon fiber. Not for any protection as its only .0625" thick (1/16"). But I'd like it for aerodynamics and a rear diffuser as its certainly no hedge against damage.
