Well, I finally got my newly aquired '90 20v roadworthy last week. At least I think it is and I thought I would take it to work this week before turning it over to my daughter.
Cold starting seems to be an issue. You know, it cranks and fires, but stalls immediately. I did some searching before posting and all the posts I found were CIS related. It has the Bosch ISV, which I soaked and cleaned according to 20v.org.
That fixed the stalling at stop sign thing, but if its below 30 degrees outside, the car takes around 15 tries to get running.
So who knows what kind of cold start system these 20v cars have? I'm familiar with the older CIS setup, through my Scirocco and the '88 90.
Any ideas on what to check and how to test would be greatly appreciated. I've got that last minute Christmas shopping to do!

Ok, I've got a Bentley, but haven't looked at how to read any error codes. Can I do it without a VAG-com doo-dad? I know in other cars I have, you short 2 terminals, or turn the ignition key on/off, etc. I'll look on 20v.org, they probably have a procedure. Thanks

Looking at the procedure to read the fault codes, it says to connect to the 2 terminals if you have a pre-March 1990 model.
I have 2 connectors in the driver's footwell, so I guess that means I have the pre-March. How do I know which is connector A, and which is connector B? I had that whole panel out when I changed my TS flasher last month, but I'm not sure if I put those connectors back in the same spot. I remember they are different colors, but does anyone know which is which?
Thanks
