20v...how tough?
i have found a almost mint 91 20vq for sale...what would be a good price for this? its loaded with everything and it has 90k on it.
i have heard the 20v i5 is one of the best,most indestructable engines audi ever came up with...is this true?
anybody with thoughts?

check out the 20v.org buyers guide for what to look for... any 87+ 5cyl (10v, 10vt, 20v, 20vt) is gonna be bulletproof in stock form assuming its been properly taken care of.
btw, i'd try to get it for about $5000...

far as i recall you can't have a auto tranny with quattro in a 91...they didnt do that till the a4 i think...

slayer...isn't your car a non-q FWD? the 20v is a quattro...nevermind the fact that your (CLR or CFS code) tranny is shot...you should just try to find an 012 tranny from an '88-92 FWD 5spd 5cyl 80/90 (with a CQ clutch). same tranny casing as the CAC coded 5spd B4 fwd cars, but you'd have to get the ...heck, a 5spd 012 from the A4 may even work (it has a different part suffix for the casing, so something is different).
