I was wondering what all would be involved in swapping the 5 cyllinder engine (20v) into a coupe quattro... and who makes the parts involved in the swap, and parts for the engine...
Thanks in advance

i don't know where you are from, but here in the US, all our CQs are (or at least were at one point in there lives) I5 20v. I don't imagine you'd have much trouble doing a conversion. You'd need the 20v ECU, of course. but I imagine all th eparts you could possibly need are readily available from (gasp) your dealer. or even better, online parts dealers.

wait, isnt the cq n/a?
I thought that the 2vpc engine was the one that was N/A, and the turbo was 4vpc.
Im a newbie, so sorry if all my **** is messed up.

from what i've read, the turbo conversion is pretty simple if you already have a 20v in it. the intercooler is what will give you the most trouble, i guess.

as far as i know turbo convertion is taking out the 20v engine and putting 20v turbo in:-) also don't forget about wiring harness and ECU

you'll have to do a complete swap, of course, sorry if i didn't make that clear. just if your car already has the 20v NA in it, then it makes it easier than say, swapping a 20vt into an engine with an NG or NF, or even a KA. BUt I still think the intercooler will be the biggest headache :-)
