Default 30 valve V6

Anybody know if they made the 2.8 liter 30 valve V6 with a manual 5spd front wheel drive transmission. (sry but the inline 5 just isn't for me)

Or could I get the 30 valve and find a manual 5spd fwd tranny from like an older 90 to bolt up to it

Since Quattro and Tiptronic were options. Do the math.

Default Yes they did, I drove a FWD '98.5 A4 2.8/30-valve 5-speed a year or two ago...

...had a lot more pickup than my FWD '93 90 2.8/12-valve 5-speed (and about 1/3rd the miles).

Over 100k on the '99 A6Aq, and it still moves quite well ;-)
