3rd party alarm question
Chaps, I installed a Cobra alarm with immobiliser and microwave sensor in my Cab last summer, it all works fine..
*except* the factory alarm still arms when I lock the doors with the new alarm remote.
Over the Christmas period, I didn't the drive the car for some time and it ran the battery flat, I expect this is because it's running two alarms.
My question is how do I prevent the factory alarm from being armed when I lock the doors?
Another benefit for me would be that if the new alarm is triggered, it stops after 30 seconds.. the factory alarm will just blare away for ever..
I apreciate this is a sensitive question, so e-mail me if you have a solution that you don't want made public.
Cheers..

I Think I figured it out..
Looks like I get the alarm supply a negative pulse to the central locking pump to lock the doors, then a positive pulse via a relay to unlock..
At the moment it's arming the factory alarm which then locks the car..
