Default 88' 90 with bad diff :(

Anyone have a ring and pinion for sale?? been on car-parts.com and nothing but trash in my area (NC) dealer wants $1050 for gears only. Also don't have time to switch to manual, but will a manual diff fit an auto trans?? any help would be great.

Thanks

Jeff

Default Try the usual

www.force5auto.com
www.shokan.com

I'm sure there are tonnes more that you could find with a good search of the forums.

Default www.friscoautoparts.com

He's in canada, and probably won't ship.

But if they have one, I'll pick it up and ship to you.

Your BEST bet, however, is probably

www.car-part.com

dunno why I didn't think of it earlier.

Default Anyone: will the rear diff from a v6 90 work?

I know of a rally shop here in ontario that has 2 brand new rear diff's for the v6 audi. Anyone confirm or deny that these will swap into an '88 90q?

Part # from their website is:
01H 500 040D

Default Tried car-part.com

nothing real close to go and check, I have been burned by 1 yard that will not take the junk back so I must check from now on. I have a call into to Frisco auto and hope they have something, if so I will let you know.
