Who wins a) the quarter mile and b) top speed?

Default Whats a V5?
The 90 may be taken off the line, but I believe that hands down the 90 will take it top end. These are both stock though, because a chipped 1.8T brings it straight up to 200 horses and adds a fair amount of torque. Don't know top speed, check the model guide at the top of the screen.

Yeah, it's I4 not V5!! P.S. Top speed is irrelevant in the US since it's electronically limited!!

Default I've driven the 1.8T 150 hp A4....
It was an automatic. I can safely say the '93 to '95 90 is much faster.

Default according to the model guide here...
A4 1.8T (unclear if this is quatrro or not)
= 0-60 in 8.1, qm 15.9

'95 90 = 0-60 in 8.1 fwd, 8.5 quattro, qm time not listed

don't know how much these numbers mean in terms of reality though...
