Default Is '90 200 instrument cluster similar to '93 90 instrument cluster?

Many ppl having problems with their speedos, and I had that kind of a problem with a speedo on my '90 200. The problem was the connection between the board and the actual speedo unit. The contacts where speedometer guage connects to the board were bad, so I had to just solder wires to both sides and it was working perfectly.

Default Depends what you mean by similar....

Yes, they work in the same manner. But I doubt a lot of the parts are interchangable.<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/9080/msgs/116768.phtml">Speeds</a></li></ul>

Default I meant the connectors

the similarity of this:

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/1889/speedoface.jpg">

part connecting with the circut board.

The problem on my 200 was the connection of the part in the picture and circuit board. That part has those pins that plug in to the circut board. So what I did is soldered wires to those connecting pins and to the connectors on the circuit board.
