90 20v loses power after hard acceleration

90 20v loses power after hard acceleration
...runs great for a few seconds, then starts missing and losing power. Never quits, but can't maintain speed climbing mountains, will only do about 45 in 2nd or 3rd climbing a 5-6% grade at 4000 feet. What should I check first? Fuel pressure?

Thanks, I ordered a new O2 sensor, but in the meantime, I regapped the plugs (they were at .050+(???)) to .030 and that cured 90% of my problems...is there an easy way to pull the codes? Cheers!
