90-80-Coupe quattro-Cabriolet Forum FAQ
ok to help out all the noobs, lets start a FAQ:
here is some information i have gathered from various people on here that i find useful:
(if there are other things you think should be added feel free to contribute!)

3A = 108hp (8v)
MC = 165hp (10vt) late '85-88 5kt/tq, '89-90 200
NG = 130hp (10v) '87.5 CGT, '88-92 80q & 90
7A = 164hp (20v) '90-91 CQ and 90q
3B = 217hp (20vt, distributor) '91 200q
AAN = 228hp (20vt, distributor-less) '92-97 S4/S6
AAH & AFC = 172hp (12v)

B3=1988-1992 80&90
B4=1993-1995 90
B5=1996-01 A4
B6=2002+
typ89 covers the '88-89 sedans
typ8A covers the '90-92 sedans
typ8B covers the '89-96 coupes
typ8C covers the '93-96 sedans
typ8G covers the '94-00 cabrios

That's a good start!
Once it's complete you should see if we can have a link to it at the top of the forum
Bigger than all the rest of 'em ([Thread] [Post Followup] [Post Picture] [Search Forums]).
Bold it, make it blink, put flashing lights around it, something just so noobs see it!!!
