No, I was planning on using the front hub and rotor off an S6, since I have the car sitting in the garage. According to others sources and some measurements i have taken, the hub is only 2 to 3mm deeper than coupe. And the rotor has approximately the same size larger hat.

I have not been able to firm this up, due to fact of rebuilding my garage from ground up and getting married this year. No time to work on cars for the past several months. When I do have the time I will do write and post pictures.

Sorry I don't have the info right now. Jimmy Pribble seems to think they will work.

Default I sappose I will comment on this.....

The aan S6 models part #
441 501 653 b

The S2 part # 895 407 615 a

The v6 models?(aah.abc.adr.ace.acz) might be a better match, part #

4a0 407 615 d

Reading etka:

First three # is the platform

407 615 is the actual part.

A= first series
D= modified

so: 407 615 d is a modified version of the S2 part #.

The extent of the modification? Who Knows?

Hope yah all understand that.

Cheers
Josh

Default Some more possibilities:

Audi A4: year 1995

one part # listed Same as the A6
4a0......
And another part # listed:
8d0407615e

I suspect the changes have to do alot with wheel bearing: 75mm,85mm, or 82mm..

Which one is on the s2 I forgot.

Default Getting closer to the answer......

S2 is a 82mm

Some a4's did come with a 82mm wheel bearing.

Once again I am not sure the complete details on it..

Default Wouldn't the steelership know?

The Audi tech t my local dealer seems quite knowledgable, and considering they fix all years, they might be a handy reference as to what parts can be swapped for what. Like when the 95 82mm hub A4 rolls in for a front end job but all they have are "100 hub" parts.

I should drop by and ask them..

Default The important information is overall offset, this is created by the hub and strut...

and from what I have seen there isn't a bolt-on combination to circumvent the S2 hub/S2 rotor combo. I've yet to see an S4/6 hub in a CQ/90 B4, the resulting offset may allow use of the S4/6 rotor, but from comparing the S4/6 stock rotor to the S2/CQ rotor I am doubtful it would work, the S4/6 has gobs more offset, the rotor hat is significantly taller.

Well it would be good to see someone get an S4/6 hub into a CQ/90 B4 and find out the resulting offset. The issue is will the caliper mounting tabs on the strut be dimensionally located properly, will the face of the hat be properly spaced from the mounting surface of the caliper mounting tabs, this is the question of importance with any braking system fitment question.

Cheers,
