OE standard plugs. the old ones are Platinums and my mechanic states they are coroded with carbon including the wires in a severe way. He said the platinum plugs are to blame and would never use them on these cars!! I ordered the standard plugs but do not know if they need to be gapped??

If there's just one prong, you need to gap. If there's 3 or 4, gapping not required

What gap on the one prong is correct? These are standard Boshe plugs not platinums.
