Default 94 90s still having probs.. no fire when hot.

hey guys.. the first time she stopped I wasn't around so I couldn't tell but today it did it and there is no fire at all 3 coils after it got hot. since I doubt all 3 coils are bad I'm thinking it's the controller bolted to the firewall that they plug into?

OR maybe a crank sensor? DO these have a crank sensor?

I was thinking maybe a cam sensor but I think you would still get fire without that one..

Default Not sure how the Audi system works but

You have a crank speed sensor (looks at flywheel) a crank postition sensor, driverside rear under exhaust manifold, a cam postion sensor, and the POS on the firewall..

You need to find someone with some spare sensors to try swapping out one at a time with the easiest first being the POS, then CAM, then CPS and god for bid the CSS..

If I had to guess.. POS or CAM

Default Re: Not sure how the Audi system works but

thanks

just hooked up vag-com and got cam position sensor open or short to ground intermittent (G40 I think..)

a couple knock sensor errors.. surpassed limit intermittent cyl 4 and 6. think that maybe a bad O2.

you know what REALLY irks me is the fact that 2 weeks before I bought my 94 90s we junked out a 94 90 CS Q for $200 lol.. talk about frustrating.
