maybe a clogged fuel filter which caused your new pump to die

I changed the fuel filter two weeks before changing the pump, I decided to change the pump too when the pump started acting up (getting noisey and my car starting after two cranks. so basically i might now have to "new" bad parts.Or may i be wrong?

Default Exact thing happened to my friend's Jetta. His airboot came off.

Probably not your problem but it's worth a check I guess.

Default "Always" change the fuel filter "after" you change pump! ;O)

Because old pumps will poop out alot of trash, and have clogged filters in a matter of minutes! ;O)
