Default ABS light on, ABS not working.

So, the ABS is not working on my 88 90Q. The ABS light is on on the dashboard, and the ABS switch does nothing (although its illuminated brighter than all the other switches). I checked all the fuses and theyre all good so im lost now.

I know the ABS light can come on if a sensor gets shifted just a little, but would that actually DISABLE the ABS completly?

Default Yup. that will disable the system.

You can't have 3 wheel ABS...so the system shuts off completely.

Default Oh well, I know how to drive w/o ABS. Also......

How did you build that lightbar on the front of your rally car? Is it just a piece of angle aluminum?

Default There was a thread about this very question not too long ago...

Though, that may have been in the 4000 forum.

Basically it's a piece of angle iron, two spacers (to move it out from the bumper) and a flat bar of aluminum to bolt the lights to. Photos in my picture poster should explain it all...

Let me know if you need more information.

Default Very shortly, I will post pics of mine too

Made the bar last weekend, mounting the lights this weekend before saturday night... Nighttime TSD gravel rally!!!

Mine is pretty different from yours..... doesn't actually mount to the bumper... uses the 4 bolts that hold the front end of the car on. Mine is also two pieces.

It'll make sense once I post pics. Only 4 lights going on right now.... but it is designed for 6, so 2 more will bolt right on without modification!

Battery brand new, and alternator less than 2 years old.
