ACK! REARVIEW MIRROR FELL OFF!
My rearview mirror fell off! I got into the car today and found it sitting on the floormat! How do I re-attach it? Do I need some sort of glue?

well, there is that little metal part that is glued to the winshield that the mirror connecks to
the metal thing is on the rearview mirror. the only thing on the windshield is the outline of the glue or whatever

You have to remove the metal piece from the mirror. There is a 2mm or so allen that you have to use when you do it. Then you glue the piece to the windsheild, let it cure and slide the mirror on.
Make sure to clean the glass with rubbing alcohol after you use a razor blade to scrape off the residue from the old glue.
Its a freaking pain in the *** sometimes.
Better off waiting until tomorrow and call a windshield replacement store and ask them how they do it and what glue they use. The glue from autostores suck.
