Alarm locks the car or uncharged the battery?

Alarm locks the car or uncharged the battery?
The other day after parking, by mistake, I open the my Audi 80, with the key, instead the alarm button, and I got the alarm, so I close the door and lock properly with the alarm.
And when I came back the next day, the alarm button did not work , so I had to get into the car with the key. Once inside, I turn the key and nothing happens! It is totally dead.
Anyone knows what can happen?

Re: Well, when your car is armed, it won't allow you to start it. Maybe something screwed up, and yo
How can I know if is still armed? I do not see any button or nothing inside to unarm it...
