Default All this talk of suspensions got me thinking.

Does anyone know if a 2 piece rear strut will swap right in place of a one piece? Obviously the ball joint would need to be changed, but what about the axle? My research leads me to believe that the single piece struts use a axle nut type half shaft while the 2 piece are of the through bolt type, as in the front. Can anyone confirm this?

He's referring to the split between early and late '88 90q cars. The early VIN cars had 1-piece rear strut assemblies... strut tube is welded to the hub. Whereas the late '88+ 90q cars had 2-piece rear strut assemblies... strut tube is bolted to the hub, just like the front.
