Default Allroad Transmission Mounts Test Fitment Results...

Howdy again folks! After a busy weekend I had a chance to lift up the 90 and sneak underneath to install Allroad Transmission Mounts up front and also on the rear differential. (Don't be scared by rusty hardware

<img src="http://www.euro-audi-parts.com/allroadreardiffa.jpg">

So it is confirmed that all TYP89 ('88 to '92) 80q, 90q, CQ can in fact use the Allroad Transmission Mounts in the rear, though there are some differences from the front installation, but all in all an hour long job with the right hardware.

<img src="http://www.euro-audi-parts.com/allroadreardiffb.jpg">

So at the moment the 90q20v turbo has Allroad Transmission Mounts fitted on the transmission and the rear differential. The stock mounts were 2-3 years old, they were soft when removed, none were torn or broken. After the fitment of the Allroad Transmission Mounts all around I can easily say that is the tightest quattro driveline I have ever had the pleasure to drive around. The lurch on throttle let-off is near gone and I can stomp on the pedal without a hint of jerking or uncontrolled driveline movement. While cruising the vibration that generally plagued the 90q20v turbo is all but gone. Am I pleased? 100%

We wanted to confirm this fitment before releasing the premodified units. Since there have been so many recent group purchases we may just release these units at an introductory price shortly and you all can purchase whenever you want, does that sound good folks?

The mounts would be front and rear specific, we need to include different hardware for each. The mounts would be bolt in for the following models:

<b>'88-'92 80q, 90q, CQ (Front and Rear)</b>
<b>'93-'95 90 FWD, 90q (Front, Auto and Manual)</b>
<b>All Cabriolet (Front)</b>

('88-'92 80, 90 FWD can only use this mount on the passenger's side of the transmission)

Expect these units to sell for $55-60 each, but possibly a bit less.

When these units are released for resale it will be announced. We need to get the mounts in, modify and package with the right hardware and then we can release, so stay tuned as it won't be long!

Cheers,

Default ahha, so thats the reason

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/30890/rtmountshot.jpg"></center><p>i replaced my trans mounts last year and for me it was far from a hr job. the passenger side has the condenser drain right above the bolt so the bolts were not rusted but dissolved. I had to labor with a grinder to cut them off to remove mine and since they were original they were torn to bits.
I still have the "lurch" though when you stop or start but it is not as bad as it was. I just replaced the trans mounts, you say there are more mounts in the rear? I guess thats what is giving me all the flex.
my rt mount was so destroyed it fell apart when I took it out.

my bolt is seized into the mount itself, only fire cutting can free it
