once hot the sensor malfunctions. if the car is shut off it wont start again. once the car sits for a while it will start again, everyone has told me this (crank sensor) is what is causing this problem i have.
am i looking into the wrong part? i have had one person mention the cam sensor, but if that was going bad wouldnt it not run once it gets hot enought to malfunction? or is it also just an issue for starting when hot?

sounds like the crank sensor. It senses the pin on the flywheel and that's all it does(without going into a ton of detail). Once the car is running it is no longer used. But once you shut it off, it won't start if it's bad.
The 7A does not have a cam sensor. As Gabe pointed out there is a crank sensor and an RPM sensor. Both at the back of the engine.
And as Nate said that's a pretty typical failure mode.
